I selected german “Blaupunkte” because the correct answer was wrongly spelled : Meisterpuntke instead of Meisterpunkte. I speak also German but don’t know their bridge words 🙁

The correct German term is MEISTERPUNKTE. The word you show does not exist in German (as well as being mis-spelled).

Yes, as Anonymous said above, the German word is misspelled in your quiz.
So naturally I got it wrong — it had to be *something else*.
Oh tournament director! … please come here and adjudicate our little irregularity.

Apologies for the typo in the German word. Fixed now, and thanks to players who pointed it out.

In Polish, it spells Brydż; without “a”.

Are the Rules of Bridge in Europe significantly
different to those in the U.S.?

Duplicate boards are more common in the average club than shuffle and play, but other than this I don’t think so.

Extensive travelling to many different countries, and playing Bridge in some of them, pays off. To score 7/7 is more than I expected. However, an element of luck had also a great deal to do with it, as in most games. That´s why it´s called a game, and not a science.

You scored 6 correct out of 7 questions.
If I can “guess” at the same level in bridge (when guesses required), my reputation will skyrocket as a very formidable player.

The word that is commonly used in German is “Masterpunkte”, we simply don’t translate the first part of the word.

Got six right out of seven!
Like in bridge, if you do not know the answer, take an educated guess
