Around the World in 9 Bridge Newsletters

Bridge newsletters are always a lot of fun.

While many people settle down with a stack of newspapers, social media or a good book, I often choose bridge newsletters and bulletins from around the world.

There’s always an interesting letter, a new take on a bridge concept or something to explore – and every newsletter from every area has its own style, own writers and own take on things.

Here’s a trip around the world in 9 bridge newsletters.

1. Welsh Bridge Union

Here’s the official newsletter archive for the Welsh Bridge Union, in charge of all things bridge in Wales.

2. London Bridge Centre

The London Bridge Centre (LBC) is located in London, Ontario, Canada. Here’s the link to their collection of great bridge newsletters in PDF format.

3. Kapi-Mana Bridge Club

From the Kapi-Mana Bridge Club, here’s the Table Talk Newsletter hosted on their Weebly website. If you’re wondering, this club is located in New Zealand.

4. Noosa Bridge Club

Noosa Bridge Club is located in Australia, but their newsletter archive is available here for everyone else who might want to pay them an online visit.

5. Worcestershire Bridge News

Find a newsletter archive for Worcestershire Bridge News at the above link.

If you’re wondering, this is for the Worcestershire Contract Bridge Association (WCBA) in the UK – not to be confused with the Western Cape Bridge.

As for the word Worcestershire, here’s a Reader’s Digest article on how to pronounce it.

6. Western Cape Bridge Club

Speaking of the Western Cape, here’s the link to their archived newsletters which are always a delight to read – even for any non-members who just share a mutual love for bridge.

7. Hamilton Contract Bridge Club

Hamilton Contract Bridge Club is another club located in New Zealand. Here’s the archive link to their newsletter, published (and usually updated) quarterly.

8. Bridge Unit 470

Bridge Unit 470 is located in Hawaii.

Of course, they also have a pretty cool newsletter, which you can read at the appropriate link above.

9. The South African Bridge Federation

The South African Bridge Federation (SABF) hosts a regular newsletter, usually hosted on their website shortly thereafter. There, you can also find links to some other handy newsletters from other South African bridge clubs.

Happy reading – and feel free to add your favorite newsletter links in the comments!
