Do you know virtual clubs?

The health crisis we are currently experiencing has forced bridge clubs to close for everyone’s safety.
So how can we continue to keep the clubs alive and play with friends through an intermediary other than the physical club?

So we created the virtual clubs! Now, there are almost 2000 clubs on
The principle is simple, your club moves on BBO (Now, there are almost 2000 clubs online)! You play with the people in your club and part of the entry fee goes directly to your club. A way to support it and keep it financially healthy so that it can reopen!

You will soon be able to find your favorite club in “real life” but keep playing online is a good way to level up from two different ways and to meet your friends online, right?

Is your NBO already allowing Virtual clubs? Look in the list below which federations agreed to have clubs online. Feel free to ask your club to contact us!

How do you find a virtual club, if your club does not have a virtual club? I play in a small unsanctioned club in northern MN and three months of the year in a small club in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Neither of these are big enough to have a virtual club. I have played with friends a couple of times in their clubs, but apparently you can’t just go play anywhere.
    Solution?

i would love to set up a virtual club for my small unsanctioned club in East Kalimantan. can i even do this?/ we usually pay a nominal $2 fee as we are totally non-profit ( tho i am sure we would all be willing to pay more to have an actual duplicate session). presently most of us are playing online by setting up a foursome. i have tutored most of them on getting in and playing , and a few even know how to set up tables. if the cost isn’t too prohibitive, i would be willing to absorb it just to get them playing a duplicate session like we were doing. i have actually communicated with you before , when i was buying copies of Bridge master.

  4. Our club is an association and not affiliated to any other organisation.
These days we cannot play for obvious reasons in our houses. Can you suggest some method by which we 4-6friends can get together online and play rubber bridge

For rubber bridge you can all log on, go to casual and then “start a table” and have the seats reserved for your four usernames

Ask the manager of your club to reach out to a club that is online and ask to be a partner with them in a BBO Virtual Club.

this is a follow-up to my previous post. none of our players belong to ACBL. we are too removed from the nearest club ( sudbury ontario) and our members will not drive to sudbury in our winter months ( usually late november to april). we usually have 5-6 tables per session, which i thought was pretty decent for a small town ( pop- 5,000). should i try to become a subsidiary of the sudbury club?
    thanks
