This Weekend: Fight Alzheimer’s Disease with the ACBL

The Longest Day will be held online on June 20-21, Sat.-Sun. This year, the special fundraising games will be played on BBO in the Virtual Clubs.
All Virtual Club games played that weekend will be Alzheimer’s games with the higher table fee.

Sanction Fees: Set at $4 per table, the sanction fees will be collected from The Longest Day games and sent to either the Alzheimer’s Association (U.S.) or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada. Your club can charge more per player to help fundraising if you wish.

Additional Donations: Clubs and players can donate beyond the $4-per-table sanction fee. The easiest is for an individual player to directly donate on your team’s page on the Alzheimer’s Association website.
A few important points about additional donations:
It is up to the clubs to decide what the per-person entry fee will be for the Virtual Club games on June 20 and 21.

ACBL will donate 100% of the $4 per table sanction fee from all Virtual Club games played those days to the Alzheimer’s Association (U.S.) and the Alzheimer Society of Canada. BBO will donate half of its functional fees for ACBL Virtual Clubs.

Alzheimer’s Games/Virtual Clubs: All games played in an ACBL Virtual Club on the weekend of The Longest Day will automatically be designated as Alzheimer’s games.
