4 Great YouTube channels

It’s a little like the Jumanji of its time. Just weirder.

YouTube is more than just a streaming site. For learning bridge players, it can be a gateway to thousands of bridge lessons, match recordings, and more.

If there’s a specific concept you’d like to get the hang of, just type it into your preferred search engine to be amazed with the sheer amount of results.

Plumbing? Sure.

Bridge conventions? Yup.

Bridge Base Online? Of course.

I have learned plenty of random skills just from thousands of YouTube uploaders who produced great content and went to the trouble of uploading it. I’ve made some mistakes too, but I don’t think any of the uploaders are to blame for those.

Do you browse YouTube looking for more BBO-related content?

Here’s a quick look at 4 great YouTube channels featuring Bridge Base Online. Enjoy!

1. Bridge Base Online

If you click the above link, you can visit the official YouTube channel for Bridge Base Online.

Here, the BBO channel posts tutorials, match coverage, and promo videos to announce new website changes. The majority of videos are short, for bridgeurs who have just a few spare minutes per day for their bridge fix.

2. Peter Hollands

Peter Hollands is a frequent bridge influencer, and he has a special love for online bridge on BBO.

His YouTube channel contains hundreds of online bridge tutorials and tournaments, and then hundreds more.

If you want to know more about BBO, or just view great games with champion players, Peter’s channel is one of the ones I would recommend you bookmark with immediate effect.

3. Paul Gipson

Paul Gipson posts regular tutorials featuring the BBO platform. If there’s a specific BBO feature that you’d like to know how to use (or you’re struggling to find something on the site), check out Peter’s channel to see if there might be an answer.

Most of his videos are short, and excellent for a very quick introduction to single site features.

Sometimes, he posts games too.

Click the below link to see his specific playlist for more tutorials.

4. Tom Salinsky

If you’re after tournaments instead of tutorials, I would recommend that you make a detour to the bridge player channel of Tom Salinsky.

Where I really got into his channel was the BBO Weekly Instant Tournaments. His take on tournaments is excellent viewing for bridgeurs of any possible skill level.

Take a look at this example, uploaded in 2015 (and with more than 2.5k views).

Enjoy!
