As a journalist and writer, I’ve always enjoyed clever headlines.

As a card player, I’ve developed a natural intuition for spotting card puns whenever they show up. 

The past couple of weeks has shown an extreme increase in card headlines in the local news. When the first one showed up, I thought that it might be a coincidence. By the third one, I started collecting them.

A huge amount of things appear to be “on the cards.” Coincidence?
