Dear BBOers, have a go at trying to solve these 10 bridge problems. Depending on your answer you’ll score between 0 to 2 points per question. Your overall score will be displayed, along with the correct answers once you’ve complete the quiz. Good luck – and stay focussed!

Explíqueme bien la regla del 11
Pass got penalty
When I do it, it means I don’t want to bid a suit at the two level. I have eight to ten points.
whoever made the German translation – this is terrible. It is better to have no translation but this one
Question 10 should be split in 2 separate questions.
Q4 & Q5: the quiz setter has made a mistake with the layout of the hands. Where I live, West is usually on the other side of North! 🙂 You are asking us to choose which card to play from the West hand but in a diagram where we think the other exposed hand is on our right (i.e. South). It takes a very observant person to realise that the hand on our right in the diagrams in both questions 4 and 5 are actually supposed to be on our left. Come on guys at BBO – appoint a proof-reader who knows the game!
I agree, very poor layout
Very interesting
Very good quiz for the intermediate player.
Q1 — the first 3 answers are EACH correct —in SOME fairly standard bidding systems/conventions. And probably the 4th is also, but I don’t know that system

Thank you. I never really knew how to apply the rule of 11 which is so useful.
stolen bid
I just finised the quiz but imdid not getany results where can I get them???
to question ten – there is a mistake in the question – according to the answer the question has to be you need four tricks and not five

Oops, misread question 10, I answered the bonus question instead 🙁 19 points
Me too did the same also have 19 points
The Rule of 11 works fine if partner led 4th best. But nowadays, many players prefer leading top/second from 3 low cards or similarly passive leads. Whenever the Rule of 11 tells us that declarer has, for example, 0 cards higher than the 6, we should be very careful about applying it blindly. So I don’t really agree with those lead questions, although obviously they are strictly speaking correct.
this is a wonderful helpful quiz and comments thank you
Excellent quiz. As usual. Very instructive especially 9,10.
Je n’ ai pas le résultat de mon quiz que faut-il faire?TR7S BON QUIZ

Muy buen cuestionario
Thank you. Good refresher about the rule of 11.
Fun quizzes. Quite instructive. Please keep .’em coming 😳🤗😁.
Those machine translations are ridiculous. Find someone who speaks the language (and knows bridge) or do not offer translations!!
Thank you. Good refresher. Reminded me how the rule of 11 works. Will use it from now on.
Very useful tests. But italian translation is terrible.
Thank you, for taking the time to challenge us and above all entertain us, we need more like this
Yes, rule of 11 is useful
Thank you for making me think!
Thank you for giving us a chance to test our bridge even to beginners.
Vraag 10: als West Harten Vrouw x x heeft, is jullie methode fout
Questions 4 & 5 – the layout is correct and not incorrect as suggested in other comments – you have to imagine your partner (East) is positioned horizontally opposite you to the right hand side of the diagram and that South is below and vertically opposite North.
very informative, good explanation of the rule of 11 and as always bridge keeps me humble
the last one seems to be a problem. not 5 tricks play.
