Twitter Accounts for Following Bridge

Why follow bridge?

We all get together here on Bridge Base Online, but it’s not the only place on the internet where bridge discussions are had. Twitter is alive with bridge news, if you know where to look.

If you’d like to know what’s happening in the world of bridge today, Twitter is a surprisingly great place to check. There’s always something to discover (and if you don’t find the bridge news you’re looking for, tweet it yourself!).

Even if you don’t post on Twitter much, you can still sign up and follow accounts for a timeline filled with bridge.

Here are some of the best Twitter accounts for following the game.

ACBL Bridge@ACBLbridge

Here’s the official account for the ACBL. (That’s American Contract Bridge League just in case you’re new here.)

ACBL Educational Foundation@ACBLEF

There’s also the ACBL Educational Foundation. Specifically, this account has a focus on the teaching of bridge.

Acol Bridge Club@AcolBridgeClub

The Acol Bridge Club is one of the largest clubs out there. If you’d like to find them on Twitter, here you go.

Bicycle Cards@bicyclecards

Bicycle is one of the leading playing card brands in the world. (Interestingly, they also happen to be one of the most faked.) Here’s the link to their official Twitter profile, just in case you’d like to see some deck pics.

The Financial Times@FinancialTimes

The Twitter account for the Financial Times is worth following. It’s not all about bridge, but they do have a bridge column – which you can find from their Twitter posts. (Plus, it’s a good read!)

The Sociology of Bridge@soc_of_bridge

The Sociology of Bridge is currently one of the world’s only ongoing studies about bridge players and how they tick. Find the Twitter account for it here.
