The quiz below has been adapted after an article on Blackwood published by French champions Michel Bessis, Philippe Cronier and Jean-Christophe Quantin in Bridgerama, a supplement of the prestigious French magazine Le Bridgeur (June 2019).

it was helpful,ty
Only the first screen was displayed. Bidding on 2 and 3 just has a solid green screen so could not take the quiz.
@amy try again, we replaced the diagrams with simple pictures. They should load now.
It was helpful, ty

A v Good exercise

Never said which key card was being used. I sort of figured out that it was 3014. Good quiz. Disagree with last answer. I would bid 6 clubs.
Sir ,you did say just Blackwood and never said anything about Key Card Blackwood.Hence I was entirely perplexed about the quiz hands. It was realised only in your explanation that key card BW was used.It would certainly have been helpful,As also if it was 1403 22Qor 031422Q was kept in dark.
Interesting and educative one. But could have helped, if the Blackwood responses 1/3 4/0 were mentioned clearly. Had to infer this.
On the whole would recommend and applaud the effort.
Seeing that the quiz was made in France, I assumed 0314 Keycard. I’m used to playing 1430, so I had to think carefully!
I didn’t like the second example. Should you believe that partner wouldn’t have bid like that without having an ace, or believe partner’s reply to 4NT denying an ace? Had it been my partner, I would have believed the latter, and later suggested that he may have been a little optimistic?
@ hmw – partner bid 4NT and you responded; they’re not denying any aces. It’s not possible for them to bid Blackwood with no keycards; “signing off” always asks you to bid on if you have the higher amount.
6 d
I’m play 4NT show 14-03 , then 5NT asking K seat, so t slam question it’s no good for me , but thanks for ur’s help me so much
Hi..
As for number 4,sute a can rebid 5!!!
When you Blackwood, you promise by all the saints that you will not sign off unless 2 key cards are missing.
You don’t get to chicken out because you realize your asking was a terrible mistake.
Haha,if this message is responding to what i asked, i am not sure i understood it as you in your langage.but in my language it made me laugh.
Ps: i am only biggennr.
It was not in reply to your comment.
It was in protest of the official answer on one of the hand that Blackwooder should sign off despite missing only 1 key card.
What is a keycard ?
Splinter bids are my favorite.
Arn’t they the High card points.!!
I noticed while playing online so many don’t start the bidding when only they have 13 points?!
It seems there are Methodes!! .is it changed or modified for suittining the computer
I know the opening bid is 13
Anyway thanks ! Try not to get to chicken out!!
Hand #6 has only 12 cards
Thanks Nonni, fixed now.
credo che chi ha interrogato ha elementi sufficenti per decidere la risposta mostra una sola k card solo con 3 k card l’apertore deve rialzare
Until I looked at the answers I had NO idea which of the 3 versions of Blackwood was being
used, would be nice to say which one. When nothing was said I just assumed that
straight blackwood was being used.
Im in the same boat as msjennifer
Enjoyed the quiz. Thanks
you who wonder what key card version LOOK at your hand you are south and YOU have bid the 5 diams obviously showing one (/4). so there is no mystery. bay the way 5H means shut up.
