Turbo Drop Pairs Survivor – BBO Carnival

Our BBO Carnival pair game attraction is the exciting Turbo Drop Pairs Survivor. It’s a free, multi-session, 2 day event where players in the top 50% get to take the ride again with the other 50% being unceremoniously dropped! If you’re up for the challenge and want to try and make it through to the Final on day two then be sure to schedule this one in!

Tournament specifics

Day 1, October 3: Qualifications

  • Session 1, 12 boards, MPs, Open to all. Top 50% move forward.
  • Session 2, 12 boards, MPs. Top 50% move forward. 

Day 2, October 4: Semifinals and Finals

  • Semifinals. 18 boards. 50% move forward
  • Finals: 18 boards.

Who can play?

Turbo Drop Pairs Survivor is open to all. This is a pairs game, so you need a partner to register and play. If your favorite partner’s not around this weekend, don’t panic! You can register with a robot too!

How can I play?

The tournament will be open for registrations on Saturday, October 3rd, two hours before Session 1 starts.

Click on “Competitive” => “All tournaments” and look for “Turbo Drop Pairs Survivor” (there’s a Search box at the top of the list).

When Can I play?

Turbo Drop Pairs Survivor is a multi-session survivor game held as part of the BBO Carnival on the 3rd and 4th of October. 

  • Session 1 – 11AM US Eastern Time (5PM Central European Time).
    • Free, open to all.
    • Top 50% scorers move forward to Session 2.
  • Session 2 – 3PM US Eastern Time (9PM Central European Time).
    • Restricted to players who qualified after Session 1
    • Top 50% scorers move forward to the Semifinals.
  • Semi-Final – 11AM US Eastern Time (5PM Central European Time).
    • Restricted to players who qualified after Session 2
    • Top 50% scorers move forward to the Finals.
  • Final – 9PM – 3PM US Eastern Time (9PM Central European Time)
    • Restricted to players who qualified after the Semis
