I do not have BBO a/c. But I have 7 masterpoints. Can my partner pay my entry fees?

    good job

I think so – partner can pay for most events.
When partner invites , they should be able to see if they can pay

Why not have an ACBL swiss game each day as well. Probably about 1.50 BB$ for an entry fee.

While these games offer a very attractive (and cheap) way to play online bridge, clubs who are financially strapped during the shutdown will find these tournaments draining some of their resources.

There is no way our club can charge only $1 a game and remain financially viable as we have lease and other obligations that cannot easily be broken.

Also, the fact that these tournaments occur daily mean that virtually every game we offer is in competition with these $1 games.

I’m not suggesting that BBO stop having these tournaments but consideration should be given to problems that can arise from offering these types of cheap tournaments on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, I do not see any way out of this dilemma other than pleading with our club members to play in our local games as much as possible.

I don’t see these BBO tournament games as being that much of a competitor to ACBL Virtual Club Games or Support Your Club games since the do not offer masterpoints

Delayed broadcasting for kibitzers will be a good option. Presenyly accusations of virwing other hsnds is cropping up when kubitzing is allowe.

Are these tournaments going to be best hand? I hate that style. Are there any tournaments that are random deal?

    1. Anonymous

Best hand only refers to individual event with robot
So this cannot be best hand
